I have a question regarding Visa requirements for Romania. I is my understanding
that USA citizens do not need Visas for 90 day stay in Romania. I understand that Romania will be under the Schengen Agreement but has not implemented it fully. I will be in Nice, France for 3 months so will exceed the 90 day stay for the Schengen Agreement. My plan was to spend another 3 months in Europe outside of the Schengen countries. Will travel to Romania be allowed?

Visit the Embassy of Romania website for the most current visa information, or contact the Romanian Embassy at 1607 23rd St. NW, Washington, D.C. 20008, telephone number (202) 232-4747, or one of Romania’s consulates in Los Angeles, Chicago, or New York.
