yep! 3 days are about right. You can see it all in that time . We used the red-bus -tour bus to get around in one day. We stayed at Hilton Dubai Creek which if we go back we will use again as it was absolutely marvelous and also well positioned for walking to the suks etc. Also we treated ourselves to dinner in the 'Burj' - expensive but worth every dime! - you only do it once is my moto! about 7 years ago

If you are coming for Eid, the book now! Dubai will be busy so a reservation is a must.

When you say good hotel, I am not sure what you mean but the ones that I really like are the Club Rooms at Emirates Towers (but no beach although they provide a shuttle), the villas at Dar Al Masyaf and the Hilton Jumeriah. The One and Only is amazing and I have liked the Fairmont but prefer the others mentioned above.

For fairly cheap and well located, then perhaps the Crowne Plaza on Sheikh Zayed or one of the hotels in Al Barsha such as the Holiday Inn.

Three days is a good length of time to explore, and you could incorporate a trip to the desert into this as well. about 7 years ago

Three days during Eid is usually okay. If you have small kids there you may need more time. There are many hotels and serviced apartments depending on how much your wiling to spend. Check online, you'll find many deals. The weather now would force to stay indoors. I would recommend a trip during the cooler months. You can buy tickets for the Burj Khalifa online. It's 4x if you buy at the counter there. Finally, Dubai is the place to shop!!! Beautiful malls. about 7 years ago

I have been reading many of your blogs for the past 6 months. My husband and I are coming to Cuenca on Dec 21st to visit, hoping that it will be the place we would like to live.
I have been in touch with Cuenca Real Estate about a rental, but now that we are getting close to December I am concerned because I cannot reach the agent by phone and no emails have been answered. Just wrote to another agency - Ecuadorcentral. Was wondering if anyone in Cuenca would be interested in renting an apt fom Dec 21 to Jan 7th? Or perhaps can pass on the name of a person to contact? I am in Prague so it is a little hard to call, but my husband is in Denver which is closer to your time zone. I haven't given up hope completely of hearing from the real estate folks, but sure would like to know we have a place to stay. We have really enjoyed your blogs - - looking forward to crossing your paths in Cuenca! about 5 years ago
