My favorite rum from Puerto Rico is Don Q. If you go to Old San Juan, you can go to the Don Q museum (samples are given) and then you can take a ferry to the Bacardi distillery. Make sure that you get a mojito before you leave Viejo San Juan...most places make a really good one:) almost 8 years ago

Actually El Barrilito is the best Rican rum. There's a small distillery that makes something called Reserva Añeja that is awesome. Not sold in the US. Green bottle in a green box with a cork. Smooth. Bottle costs about $19 about 7 years ago

...oh shit man. You trying to start a fight? All the rum is good in PR. Puertoriquenos do not drink sub-standard rum. almost 7 years ago

Of course any rum aficionado knows that the best rum in Puerto Rico is any Jamaican rum you can find... Appleton Gold would be my choice! almost 7 years ago

Oye Got2BMe. Those are fighting words! Jamaica produces some fine rum, but the question was about Puertorican spirits. The questioner should try Don Q or any local Brand besides the usual (Barcardi)... almost 7 years ago
