Have been told to bring cash to pay guides tips on Safari. No ATM's available.
Not feeling very happy about leaving USA and flying into Kenya with a large amount
of cash stuffed in various places.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
PGP

Hi Safara I would probably use a money belt that is worn underneath your clothing however have heard that carrying a lot of cash in not advisable. I would check with your tour company first as there should be some ATMs before you go on the safari and then only carry what is required for each trip and of course keep the rest in a locked safe at your hostel or hotel etc. Hope this helps. I am going to Africa next year for hopefully 1-2 years volunteering so any advice you have would be great. I have been researching for a little while hoping to keep safe. There is a best of unrest at the moment so please take care. over 4 years ago
