Could anyone who has been to Poland and also uses a wheelchair, tell me about the access in general and how you were received by the people. I have traveled to many destinations around the world, and experienced many different attitudes and access towards disability. Can anyone tell me about Poland in this sense.

There will be some problems as not all public buildings or rail stations are equipped with wheelchair access. Sometimes crossing the street may also be a bit difficult. People will help, you won't even need to ask. about 9 years ago

Poland and the people are real nice. Unfortunately there is not a lot of accommodations for people in wheelchairs. Now I'm sure hotels and tourist attractions you will not have a problem, but public works you will run into some road barriers. Overall, it is comparable to any other well to do country in Europe, and people are always willing to help. almost 5 years ago
