worried about reports about carjacking

    the carjacking is a problem right across Europe - but also pretty rare.
    You hear the occasional story about the motorist who tried to get visitors to stop by pointing to the back of their car and gesticulating wildly.
    If it happens to you, and the car seems to be driving okay, keep going until you get to a service station. Be wary of stopping in those roadside stops. Take your keys out of the car when you re-fuel at a service centre (in my home country, Australia, it's actually illegal to leave the keys in the car when you go to pay for fuel! Makes good sense really.)
