    Hi Dee,

Dos Palmas is well known for its beautiful water resorts and beaches - but it is also known for a hostage crisis in 2001 where many tourists, soldiers and captors were killed.

This incident, however, was a once off. Dos Palmas is generally considered a safe place to visit.

I recently went to Dos Palmas and the only untoward incident that happened was an unfortunate biting involving one of my friends and some fish, so go ahead and enjoy. about 9 years ago

Hey Dee not sure if you've been there already, nonetheless, everyone else is right, it was a one time, bad time event and unfortunately it happened in dos palmas. The better question should be: is it worth it, and in my opinion, not anymore. Try Daluyon Resort or Sheridan hotel, both in Sabang Puerto Princesa. :) enjoy about 9 years ago
