    Hah, you crack me up. The Philippines is a 'volcanic arc' created by movement of a tectonic plate over a volcanic hot spot. As the plate has moved over time, so a range of volcanoes have formed over the region above the hot spot, creating new land. Natural processes like erosion, seismic activity etc continue to reshape the archipelago, too. Hope that helps! ;) about 9 years ago
