I used gap too. Couldn't fault it really. However, I highly recommend you check out latitude journey for a more personal experience. I'm biased, it's my wife's company, but she is a GAP tour leader, native Peruvian, and has lead countless tours to MaPi, over the classic inca trail and less travelled roads. She's taken me 3 times. If you need any advice or tips, give us a shout. about 9 years ago

Sadly, never made it. Got to machu picchu pueblo before the floods prevented us from getting to the ruins. Good luck, have fun, and take pics. It's still a goal to get back there! about 9 years ago

Been there 4 times. Hiked the 4 day Inca Trail and the 1-day twice. I always hike with Vidal Jaquehua at Adios Adventure Travel. He arranges your logistics to minimize your contact with other hikers. there have been times when I thought I was the only one on the trail! He's more affordable than other outfits. Not the cheapest, because he pays porters living wages. But not the highest. He offers great value and most of all, every hiker gets a great experience! about 9 years ago
