is it nice in oslo county?

I woul wanted to go on holidays to Norway next year and wonder what is the weather like in May, what places to visit, etc.?

    The weather in May is generally good, at least this year – most days are sunny, although the temperature is not very high (mostly around 13-16 Celcius).

    Don't miss the fjord country such as Geiranger, Nord, Sogne Fjords. Also if you have time, I would highly recommend Lofoten Islands in the far north - bit tricky to get to, but well worth it for the spectacular scenery. I was there in May and June several years ago - it was still quite cold with snow on the ground in places in May. I am not sure if this is still the case, but a lot of places were still closed in May such as student residences which become hostel accommodation in the summer months. over 11 years ago

    I was in Norway this past April and a lot of attractions were still closed including the Fjord tours and some museums. Most of them said that they are open around May onwards. over 11 years ago
