one weekend in Oslo, any tips?
I will be for a weekend in Oslo on Feb 11-12 for the 1st time together with my wife. I would like to explore the city architecture, food and spend one evening in a live jazz bar.
Should I rent a car?
Any particular sights that I must see ?
Any food that is on a must try list?
Any live jazz club you would recommend?

You don't need to rent a car if you plan to just stay in the city and its surroundings. Oslo has a very good public transport system (metro, tramways, buses). Check some information here: http://www.visitoslo.com/en/transport/in-oslo/
You must visit the Munch Museum, the Vigeland Sculpture Park, the Opera House, Holmenkollen, the Viking ship Museum, the FRAM museum and the Nobel Peace Center. And the ICEBAR! :-) http://www.visitoslo.com/en/activities-and-attractions/attractions/
Check out the areas of Grünerløkka and Frogner for small restaurants and cafes:
You should try Norwegoan dishes, especially with fish. You can try some restaurants like Kaffistova, Tjuvholmen, Grilleriet and Olympen: http://www.visitoslo.com/en/restaurants-nightlife/restaurants/
Herr Nilsen and Bare Jazz are good jazz clubs in the city center: http://www.visitoslo.com/en/restaurants-nightlife/restaurants/
Enjoy Oslo! :-)
