There's great locally brewed beer in Queenstown. And I also liked the pizza and pasta place called Cow (http://www.thecowrestaurant.co.nz/). I have fond memories of crawling in there soaking wet to sit in front of a fire, eat well, drink well and soak up the atmosphere whilst we planned how to fill the rainy afternoon ahead of us almost 7 years ago

head to the base of the Queenstown gondola and you'll find a walking track that takes you to the top, it winds up the hill and you'll experience beautiful scenery all the way up plus you'll save a few bucks by not paying for the gondola. Once you're up there spend the money on the luge carts! super fun! almost 7 years ago

also, head to the Queenstown gardens and experience the disc golf course! if you dont have a disc you can buy them in town from numerous retailers or you can hire them from the Queenstown ice arena (located in the gardens) Not only is it a fun activity but the views from the walk around the gardens are spectacular (especially in winter when there is snow) almost 7 years ago

The climbing! If you are into climbing there is some AMAZING bouldering at a place called Jardines at the base of the Remarkables. Kinda hard to find though if you dont know what your looking for. Its beyond a gate on private land but climbers have been granted access.
A place called Baracuda is a great place to drink... make sure you try a "Money Shot" you wont find them ANYWHERE else and the recipie seems to be top secret. Best shot I have EVER had.
Drive to Glenorchy. SUCH a fun road and great scenery. Also a great road to cycle if your into it. almost 7 years ago

I loved the vibe of Queenstown. Just wandering the waterfront is an experience.

Hell Pizza is good, but it's a chain that can be found anywhere.

I enjoyed the zipline tour on the mountain quite a bit as well. over 6 years ago
