We are doing an 18 day loop around the South Island of New Zealand. Is there anything we shouldn't miss?
Karamea - very top of the West Coast, start of the Heaphy Track, lots of great walks in the bush - visit the Oparara caves
Punakiki - pancake rocks on the coast road between Westport and Greymouth - wonderful blowholes active there when the westerly swells come up
Franz Josef and Fox glaciers - highway south of Hokitika - worth the walk into one of these if you have the time (only takes a couple of hours return from the road end)
Okarito - South of the glaciers on the West Coast - home of the famed White Herons that migrate there each year - also home to Keri Hume, author of Booker Prize winning novel "The Bone People" over 6 years agoAnswered by Derek via Travellr.com
Skydiving in Wanaka - the BEST views in the country with six lakes and Mount Cook! over 6 years agoAnswered by Wanaka Friend via Travellr.com
