    It is sometimes possible, but this certainly does not happen every year. Most years, there is not enough frost for the canals for ice skating. In years that it is possible, it instantly becomes the pasttime of practically everyone and there is a magic sense in the air.
    There is enough ice in other parts of The Netherlands in most years, though. And there are always indoor artificially created ice rinks opened, even in summer. over 6 years ago
