Our idea is to stay in one place, to rent a car, and daily visit a interesting spot. By the end of the day, we would return to the hotel.
Would like by much to know the 3/4 most interesting sites in ND and/Or Belgium.

Please advise. Thanks,
J

We rented an apartment in the beautiful Jordaan (from BRBO.com). You can find apartments big enough for a family and live like a local, rather than buying a few rooms at a hotel--and it is cheaper. Also, if your family is into food, here is a great resource for regional foods

If you need to know our specific apartment that we rented, let me know and I can dig it up. about 6 years ago

Thks, Scott. Indeed, we appreciate your suggestion, regarding the lodging and the food. If you can find the reference where you've stayed, and give an idea of the rates, please send. Cheers, J about 6 years ago

My girlfriends and I was in Amsterdam in October 2011 for 5 days and it was great. It's now one of my favorite cities to visit. We did the canal tour which I highly recommend , visited museums and flea markets. The next day we went o Volendam and Edam and had the most wonderful time. There is so much to do in Amsterdam and not enough time. Not to mention great bars and restaurants and coffee shops. Going back again next year. over 5 years ago

Thanks Alex. We've already gone, and love it. We did the boat channeling in Amsterdam, and visit several places. Great place to go!
If you go there again, I'd strongly recommend one day at Leiden.
We have rented an apartment in Noordwijk and also enjoy to stay there: we had the ocean at our window.
We also expect to return, next year. over 5 years ago

    And did you return?
Maybe we could welcome you at our BinnenInn: formar schoolbuilding in the North of Holland (with horses ;-) for families with children
As a local I could advice you to hop to 2 of the 6 Dutch isles from our accomodation, to visit Groningen, Leeuwarden and Dokkum, to enjoy the country side.... to go mudwalking in Worldheritage Waddensea....
    Who knows....
