Help me decide if I'm going to visit Amsterdam this end-December. Will it be very wet & cold like everyone says? Are there attractions still open that is worth visiting (other than museums)? I would hope to see/visit windmills, clog-shoe maker/shop and hopefully a cheese factory too. Your suggestion & help is much appreciated.

The dutch weather is always unpredictable and in amsterdam can be very cold and gloomy in winter. Museums are always open however windy conditions along with icy rain prevent you from enjoying your experience of the city. almost 6 years ago

Do you mean it rains the whole day? Without any intervals? (ie morning rain, afternoon gloomy then night rain again)...I'm so sad now:( almost 6 years ago

Not necessarily no, there is always a chance though. But Amsterdam can still be a really fun place! over 5 years ago
