Wildlife safari in Nepal.

about 5 years ago about Nepal

My wife and I are looking forward on making a trip to India and Nepal. We will take a tour that ends in Nepal. After this, we would love to make a wildlife safari in Nepal, so we need suggestions. Thanks everybody, David

Chitwan National Park is a significant area to visit. We did this as part of an Intrepid tour. If you are going, it would make sense to do this as your first stop into Nepal, as it's not far from the Indian border.
You can have a look at the details of the Chitwan section on this page - personally I'd skip the "traditional boat ride" into the park, I found it a very uncomfortable 2 hours.

Ps. Make sure you visit Bhaktapur and Patan near Kathmandu, well worth a day trip each. Have a wonderful trip David! about 5 years ago

    David,

Post #1 has good recommendation for short Jungle safari but the problem is, they don't bring you at the national park. They make you a tour around community forest where you will see very less activities of animals. And, it's touristic. I rather would recommend you to go to Bardia National Park which is pretty far away from Kathmandu but better chance to see more animals because of less people visit there.

I really loved the time we spent at Temple TIger in Chitwain National Park. There was plenty of wildlife and a conservation project going on as well. Our children still talk about their time there.
