Going to Kathmandu, staying for a week. Just curious about whether to get electrical adaptor with surge protection.

    Hi Susan,
I am sure elsewhere you are going to stay, around there can get electronic shops by easily... Better to ask to hotel owner/staffs or to your guide... it will be just around...

In Kathmandu, there is usually no electricity during the day, only at night, so you can only charge at night. I have never needed surge protection, the supply (when it is on) is reliable. You will definitely need adapters to fit the sockets.
If you are trekking, you need to pay to charge in the lodges, but supply is reliable (again, when it is on). over 5 years ago
