Does anyone know what transport is best to take through Malawi, crossing borders such as Mozambique and Zambia?!
Currently in South Africa and looking to go through Mozambique, Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Im just not sure if its best to hire a car or travel on buses!? Can anyone advise?
We travelled from blantyre to victoria falls via coach And minibus then a taxi over the border (only way you can cross) then coach again, a bit manic and you have to find where they all go from and account for nothing leaving the time it says it will but was a brilliant way of seeing both countries, if you want to go quickly maybe hiring a car is better but not as much fun over 7 years ago
If you're up for an adventure tour then an overland trip is a good way to go. Before you leave on the trip your booking agent will confirm that you have all the documents you need and you'll be reminded at your pre-departure meeting about requirements for crossing borders. It is a simple process when you're carrying the right documents. over 7 years ago
