Currently in South Africa and looking to go through Mozambique, Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Im just not sure if its best to hire a car or travel on buses!? Can anyone advise?

    We travelled from blantyre to victoria falls via coach And minibus then a taxi over the border (only way you can cross) then coach again, a bit manic and you have to find where they all go from and account for nothing leaving the time it says it will but was a brilliant way of seeing both countries, if you want to go quickly maybe hiring a car is better but not as much fun over 6 years ago

    If you're up for an adventure tour then an overland trip is a good way to go. Before you leave on the trip your booking agent will confirm that you have all the documents you need and you'll be reminded at your pre-departure meeting about requirements for crossing borders.
