I plan on spending atleast 10-12 days there, with my friend to celebrate my birthday. we want to have a culture experiences and enjoy the night life. we would like to say in a nice riad, do a 2-3 day berber living in the desert and a nice hotel. through my reading, I seen there was a ferry to catch if you stayed in tangier, that goes to italy(genoa) spain or france? any info would help.

If you are looking for a nice riad book www.darfakir.co.uk in Marrakech. You couldn't be in a better location. If they are too pricey try Bare Minimum Travel they some great riads spread around town and cover most budgets.

You can easily get across the Straight of Gibraltar by catching the FRS fast ferry. It goes to Tarifa, Spain and Algeciras, Spain several times a day. There are also several other ferry companies. FRS is nice and usually on time. almost 7 years ago

The ferry to Italy is quite a long trip, I am not sure exactly how long but it is quite a long boat ride. The ferry from Tangier to Tarifa is about an hour. almost 7 years ago
