Jma F'na. You could spend hours just hanging out there! Make sure you stay to eat in the center around sundown!! It is fun all day long! Also hotel roof top restaurants are great for an awesome view around the plaza. Khoutobia is pretty cool too. about 7 years ago

Djemaa el-Fna square. All roads kinda lead there. It has a terrific buzz with snake charmers, barbary apes, nice restaurants (when the're not blowing them up) :( and market stalls. As said at nighttime it takes on a new atmosphere. It's the life and soul of Marrakech. You could also do a horse drawn carriage trip back to your hotel.

Wandering around the adjacent souk though don't get lost in the mire of alleyways and don't accept any chancers offer to bring you around nor any chancer of a taxi drivers offer to drive you miles away to the promenade at Essaouira. They'll get you there & refuse to drive you back unless you give them an extortionate amount of money & I believe they can be quite aggressive about it. Just be careful about who you place your trust in. Be careful about cheap clothes you may buy in the market, the dye has a habit of running out of them. about 7 years ago
