Wim, yes it is widely available and pretty cheap. Price varies depending on where you get it (hotels are the most expensive, the supermarket - hypermarjane - has it at the lowest price), figure on about 5Dh per litre ($US2, half a Euro).
We have an article on food and water in Morocco on the WorldNomads.com site:

Just make sure the cap on any bottle is sealed and it should be safe.

I am from Canada and the best brand that worked for me was SIDI ALI water, it did not have a weird taste because trust me some do. Its about $1-2.00 CDN.

You can get bottled water just about anywhere. Just ask for Lma. I agree SIDI ALI is the way to go. Cheowen is also good. SIDI Hazem is not very good in my opinion.
But it is safe. My family has lived in Morocco for many years we often are served water from the tap at friends homes. We drink it with no problem. I believe in the major cities the water is treated. Not to US standards but they claim it treated. We have had problems with the water out in the more primitive villages. over 6 years ago
