    We took a bus from Dubrovnik to Kotor and on to Tivat to catch a ferry. It seems very safe for cars also. We also took a bus from Dubrovnik up to Split before renting a car for the rest of Croatia. That winding ocean road is beautiful! I would say it is also safe, but you do have to go through the Boznian border...just make sure you have passports etc. about 4 years ago

    It's an interesting route! I would say go for it. Do not try to book online a taxi like I did, with Montenegro -rent-car site because they never showed up and when I called they just sent me to hell. Get ready to go somewhere where 1 out of 10 people speak English! over 3 years ago
