    It is MUCH better than it used to be with the brand new highway between Cabo and Todos Santos! The locals drive way too fast and you have to watch our for cows on the road, but that is probably the biggest challenges if you take the Todos Santos way!

    The mountain pass on the East coast is another story; that route has very narrow roads through the mountains and it can be difficult.

    I do not recommend driving either at night, as the lighting isn't great and you could easily run into a cow! almost 5 years ago

    I made that drive last week with two children, road 19 highway safe and easy via Todos Santos. Incredible views almost 5 years ago

    You will see that it is safer to drive in Baja California Sur than in NYC. Just one thing: be careful at night since cattle crosses highways and sometimes they like to sleep on the warmth of the pavement. almost 5 years ago
