Of course, sunset cruises and snorkeling are can't-miss activities while vacationing in Cabo, but there's plenty to do on land as well. A great day trip is visiting Todos Santos, about an hour up the coast on the Pacific from Cabo San Lucas. This picturesque town is home to historic architecture, quaint art galleries and cafes, as well as the historic Hotel California. Another great spot to browse art galleries and boutiques is San Jose del Cabo, the quieter, colonial sister city to Cabo San Lucas. It's fun to stroll the streets and look for treasures in the many small shops. From Nov-May, the Thursday Night Art Walk in San Jose is a great way to experience the varied works from numerous artists, both local and international. If you want to explore the desert outback of Baja, there are plenty of off-road adventures that let you glimpse the rugged landscape, cacti and remote ranches. You can head out on off-road buggies or a jeep tour to experience this unique environment. You can also head out on an excursion to a mountain arroyo to zip-line.
