What is the best flight plan for a flight from Kuala Lumpur to Rome with a stopover in the Maldives?

Which airlines and countries should I be looking at stopping at?

  You could do Emirates with a stopover in Dubai. They fly from Rome - Dubai; Dubai - Maldives; Dubai - Singapore, but this would require you doing a return from/to Dubai - Maldives. about 9 years ago
