You will be spoilt for choice when you check out the online accommodation providers. Try googling 'Langkawi Accommodation' and have a look there.
Problem is, when you have a teenage child, majority of hotels will treat as an adult. Their child policy is generally child being up to 12 years of age. So you are actually needing accommodation for 3 adults and 1 child aged 11years.
So, you will generally find better value in booking apartment or self-contained style accommodation. over 10 years ago

Try evaluating yr options at www.tripadvisor.com before you book yr stay. It's pretty reliable guide for travelers. You will hv plenty of options from pricey to cheap. It also depends if you are planning to head to hotels or guesthouses away from the regular tourist spots. Enjoy. about 9 years ago

There's a little place on Chenang Beach called (something like) Garden Beach Villa which has wooden bungalows with ensuite and fan for 50RM per night. Get a bungalow which has a double bunkbed in and the kids can share the top bunk with you one the bottom. We did this with our 11and 8yr olds two months ago. about 9 years ago

You can book a good family room in the heart of the Kuah Town - Peach Blossom Village. The environment is quaint and relaxing, no pool though. over 3 years ago
