Visiting the Petronas twin towers is a must and climbing up the skybridge gives a wonderful panoramic view of the city. Just make sure to avoid visiting on Monday's, the skybridge is closed by then. over 8 years ago

You must have a greasy noodle or something similar on Jalan Alor, plenty of good places - cheap beer and cheap eats. If you're after something a bit less meaty head to Blue Boy Vegetarian (from the bottom of Jalan Alor turn right, then first left, then right again)

Feel free to abandon the nomadic, intrepid traveller's agenda and do what a lot of Malays do and eat in one of the amazing food courts in a mall - great especially if you want to escape the heat. The bottom of Lot 10 in Bukit Bintang is a good one.

The Islamic Arts centre is worth a visit, next to the national mosque. Also near the bird park.

Have a wander through Chow Kit markets - It's a sensory overload! 100m back down under the monorail from Chow Kit Station. over 8 years ago
