I'm in Malaysia for a 2 or 3 month, I'd like to get a local SIM card to have iPhone connected via 3G. What are the plans, prepaid accounts?

Anything we should be aware of? I mean provider sometimes forces you to subscribe for long period, etc.

Hi Jeremy. In Malaysia, you can use any service provider to get 3G data. You can subscribe for one month or daily. There are a few service provider that provide good data plan. Maxis, digi, celcom (sometimes ok n sometime not), U mobile (my friend using this n he told me that it cost you less than RM50 per month) nad Tune talk (less popular)

Make sure your iPhone is unlock.

DiGi sounds good, tried it myself and very economical in general. Maxis will rip you off meanwhile Celcom's service is inconsistent. about 8 years ago
