I have been to sabah before but only kk and mt kinabula.. Thinking of doing turtle island, is that safe from terrorist or kidnappings?

Sabah has been reasonably safe for travelers now. We are frequent travelers to Mabul & Kapalai island as we are not allowed to stay at Sipadan anymore due to environmental concerns. In fact, there are security stations setup on Sipadan and at some other islands that are conducting frequent patrolling. about 9 years ago
