Agree with above. Allow time to get around as some places are quite far from each other.
Petra is a huge site and requires a lot of walking. over 7 years ago -
Agree with the places above, do Petra over two
days if possible, you will enjoy it more. I have just returned after a week in Jordan. Aqaba is a great place to be in as well, a little warm at this time of the year but has some great resorts on the waterfront on the road to Saudi a short drive away. You also get to see Egypt and Israel across the Red Sea (Gulf of Aqaba). over 7 years ago -
a spectacular place is the Dana Reserve and Feynan Ecolodge... highly recommended, its been recently added as one of the top 50 Ecolodges in the world... and hiking/walking in Dana is unique... over 7 years ago

Petra for obvious reasons, and Amman is ok to go to. Surprisingly the vibe there is quite welcoming and positive. over 7 years ago

I second Dana Biosphere Reserve, with an overnight at Feynan Ecolodge. One of the most unique places I've ever stayed at (www.feynan.com).
Other musts are Petra, Dead Sea and Wadi rum over 7 years agoAnswered by Laura Fox viaWorldNomads.com

All of above are worth visiting, however, if you like an exceptional visit, try going to wadi Rum, specially in September or march/April where temp is cooler than extreme desert summer / winter climate.
Another unique sightseeing is the Umayyad Desert palaces (Amra, Al-Harranah, etc) but they need dedicated day and a good guide. over 7 years ago -
