What are the things not to miss (seeing or buying)?

    You just get overwhelm by the amount of seafood there. Im not sure if they let you into seeing tuna auctions anymore as visitors breathing increases the ambient temp of the place which can damage the fish. Seeinng people cut up massive tuna with samuri size knives was pretty cool. Be CAREFUL (feet especially) of these mini carts fisherman drive around the place... Those things are dangerous . There are sushi restaurants next to the market complex and they are awesome for an early morning 6am sushi breakfast but the more popular ones have queues that run for an hour before you get a seat. Still worth it imo... Have fun :) about 9 years ago
