The Japanese government has designated a no-go zone 30 kilometres around the failed Fukushima Daichi power station. Some foreign governments recommend you don't go within 80 kilometres (except if you're passing by on the freeway - keep going don't stop).
Osaka is over 600 kilometres away. Niseko is 600 kms in the other direction.
The greatest safety risk is someone else's runaway ski!
