can travel in May or next month?

    all foreign governments (UK, Australia, USA and others) who had previously declared Tokyo off-limits have now downgraded their warnings... basically clearing it for travel.
    Be aware there's some 'inconvenience'from power shortages as a result of the nuclear power crisis, but not a threat to safety.
    As for radiation; apart from a 24 hour period at the height of the crisis (around March 16) radiation levels in Tokyo have been near normal. Even when they were elevated it was only the equivalent of an abdominal x-ray.

    At least you'll be armed with knowledge and facts from an independent source so you can make your own assessment of the situation.
