i guess should be fine, pretty far from the nuclear plants affected by 3/11 tsunami but still wanna hear your views, thanks!

    Well, I'm down here in Miyashima, just across from Hiroshima right now and its fine down here. Loads of people have cancelled their trips and many of the hotels now have vacancies and deals which is pretty convenient! Nothing to worry about, apart from the usual risks of earthquakes etc over 9 years ago

    there are no warnings or restrictions for Japan south of Tokyo.
    And even in Tokyo independent tests show there's only "normal" radiation according to the Facebook group Tokypo Radiation levels - its a local with his own geiger counter.

    Just don't forget, all of Japan is on the "ring of fire" and earthquakes are unpredictable, so there's no guarantee something else won't happen, so you need to take all the usual precautions (and first of all you should register your travel with your government's foreign office). over 9 years ago
