It's going to be a tight schedule as you need to allow for between 1 to 1.5 hours on the train for Narita to the central districts of Tokyo. Narita airport is about 65km from the central Tokyo districts!

The fastest option is the Narita Express (NEX) (50 minute transit time), but this page has a good list of options for you: http://gojapan.about.com/cs/transportation/ht/ht_naritaaccess.htm

To get around in Tokyo, I'd recommend the subway. Not only is it an experience but it's fast and easy - so long as you have an English map! You can get one here:

All stations are clearly color coded and numbered, so you can use the colors and numbers on the subway map to navigate around.

A quick trip would be to take the Ginza line to Shibuyu and walk across the busy Shibuyu Crossing - a 3-way intersection where thousands of people cross every few minutes. Along the way just take in sights and explore the area - there's always fascinating things to see in every part of Tokyo! over 11 years ago

If it's a nice day, particularly on weekends, a great way to get a feel for Tokyo is to walk through Yoyogi park. The park runs between Shibuya and Harajuku, so it's easy to hop off the train in Shibuya as Ian suggested, then enter the park near the Meiji Shrine and walk through then reboard the train from Harajuku station. The park is usually full of people doing pretty much everything, and they're generally more than happy to show you how or to pose with you for a photo. over 11 years ago

    Go to the following places:

    Meiji shrine
From meiji-shrine walk to Harajuku/omotesando - Chic fashion district with some good restaurants
From There, you can walk or take train (3mins) to shibuya which is the very unique place full of people
Try some japanese food at shibuya or harajuku
evening go to roppongi for clubbing and nightlife...
