I have a wheat allergy, and I know that unfortunately that means standards like ramen and udon are probably out for me. But what foods can I look for that won't give me a stomachache? I'm sure there are many - but I wouldn't know where to start looking!
My husband is gluten free so we also had to avoid wheat while in Japan.
Some of his go to foods were:
Donburi bowls especially when topped with something really simple
Moochi Balls -the little sweet brightly coloured balls are made from rice.
And of course the endless variety of sushi type nibbles
