Hi! I'm going to Tokyo for 10 days, during August, what do you recommend me (visiting, doing, any suggestion is accepted)?

Tokyo is pretty easy on your own - the metro system is great! I had a few days on my own and just picked a neighborhood or two each day, hopped on the train and spent my time wandering around. If you are on your own, definitely find a ramen shop and grab a stool. I met a few locals that way. Not much English is spoken though so it pays to carry a little map so you can point if you get lost. about 5 years ago

Everything! Totally depends what you're into of course. The Tsukiji fish market is a sight to behold. Check out whether there's a Sumo tournament on while you're there. The Shinjuku Gyoen and Yoyogi parks are amazing. Go get yourself lost in Shibuya. Tokyo has some of the best vintage shopping in the world. Like I said though, totally depends what you're into. Disneyland or NOS (new old stock) Levis 501s? Tokyo's got you covered. about 5 years ago

I spent 3 weeks in Japan by myself last year and It was great. I would most definetely urge you to rent a pocket Wi-Fi as hot spots are not as readily available. It helps a lot while navigating the streets, finding addresses etc! I rented mine via Global Advanced Communications, but there are several services available. almost 5 years ago
