What is a good budget family friendly accommodation in Kyoto.
We are a family of four adults (me, my husband, my 20 year old son and my mother) and three children (a three year old and one year old twins) traveling to Kyoto from 16-21 July 2012. We are looking for family friendly accommodation with two available rooms (a double for me and my husband; and a twin for my son and mother). The twins have their own portacots and will sleep with us. The three year old has his own portacots and will sleep with my mother and older son. Would love to have a private bathroom but willing to share for good value accommodation. Looking to spend no more than $250 Australian dollars per night altogether. Any suggestions?

We stayed here last March and I'd recommend it. http://kyotobase.com/eindex.html
It's only small so you'll definitely have to book. (This is the review of them on Trip Advisor: http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g298564-d1807418-Reviews-Kyoto_Guesthouse_Roujiya-Kyoto_Kyoto_Prefecture_Kinki.html) almost 9 years ago -
Ps - definitely no private bathroom, but you are likely to have to pay for that in Japan almost 9 years ago
