I'm here for one week (right now, actually). I'm going through the little guides here and there figuring out what I should see, but I thought I'd reach out to the travellr community for some advice. What should I see in/around Osaka during my 1 weeks stay? Thanks.

My strong advice: get on a train and go to Kyoto and Nara. The former has stunning temples (particularly the tiny oscure ones) and the latter is the former capital again with amazing temples. A fantastic place to visit at any time of the year. I'm hoping to head there again next year. about 11 years ago

For something really special, head out to koya san for a day (even better, sty a night at a temple!). You will need to take the train.
Otherwise in osaka, i quite enjoy the aquarium and its surroundings.
And the obvious Ueda remains a great place to hang out! almost 9 years ago
