I'd take the train to the central bus station and get a cab from there-it's cheaper and the train is easy to get to in the airport over 6 years ago

The Leonardo Express is the non-stop train that takes you from Fiumicino to Rome Termini. It's about 15 euros for a one-way ticket and takes about 30 minutes. From what I've seen, most taxi services cost around 40 euros to get you into the city. over 6 years ago

For me it was 30 euros from Leonardo Airport to the Vatican area. But I only took a taxi because my plane arrived very late at night and I was alone and got afraid to land on Termini with my luggage alone.
If you're not on that situation you can get the Express Train. It's very practical! over 6 years ago

There is the Rome Airport Shuttle for 25 euro for 1 person and 6 euro for each additional person between Fiumicino and Rome. They pick you up "at your door". We used this company the last time we were in Rome. Make sure and leave plenty early - we hit a traffic jam! Also, there is the train (difficult if you have lots of luggage to haul) or fixed taxis.
