AJF, Chianti is the region that lies between Florence and Siena. This is wine country! There are many wineries that also have restaurants. One of my favorites is Fattoria Montagliari, between Greve and Panzano on the Ss222 Chiantigiana Road. It's a small family owned and operated winery - excellent Chianti Classico, Riserva and Brunesco (Supertuscan), extra virgin olive oil and aged (20 and 30 years!) balsamic. Everything from the kitchen is home-made and delicious!

By the way, we've been if Florence twice before and yes, of course we know it's in the Chianti area. I asked specifically about vinotecas that serve more than snacks, almost 6 years ago
