    While I have no idea about the parking permit, you can walk to Piazzale Michelangelo from central Florence quite easily. A bonus is that the walk is quite beautiful. While the road for cars meanders quite a bit, the pedestrian path goes through both residential and park areas and is much more direct. If memory serves, it was about a twenty minute walk from the south side of the Ponte Vecchio. almost 7 years ago

    Totally outside the limited traffic zone of central Florence. True no car needed for Florence by itself, but if you want to explore the outlying towns not served by train, you will appreciate having one for sure. over 6 years ago

    Yes, as long as you stay away from the 'centre storico'' pretty much everything inside the 'Viali' (ring boulevards) on the north side of the river.
    You can also get to the Piazzale by bus. Check out routes etc. at www.ataf.net
    The best place to enjoy Piazzale Michelangelo is the terrace just below, to the left of the big Piazzale as you face the view. over 6 years ago
