I am not sure its possible to see everything in Venice....at each turn of a corner, just when you think you have seen it all, you come across a church with a wonderful alfresco, or a lovely little art gallery down near the river.

My advice is to walk away from the main routes and hit the back streets.

If you really have done it all, then jump on a water ferry over to the cemetary or out to Burano/Murano.

A day trip to Verona is quite nice and easily done via a wonderful rail network thats in place. about 9 years ago
