Yeah, you can pay for parking at the car lots in Monterosso and Riomaggiore. The other towns are reserved for resident parking. If you are travelling in the summer the lots can be full. When you are trying to find accommodation ask about parking, because some places have personal spots they will charge a fee for using- but at least you have one! For one night Monterosso might be your best bet. I could help you further from my website Italian Fix if I know what season you're travelling and where you're coming from. about 9 years ago

Thanks for the advice. I decided to stay in Levanto and travel to those smaller towns by train. about 9 years ago

Hi! Also have a similar question, don't know much about that area but we are wanting to stay there for about 4 nights. We will have a rental car and have heard that it is a bit of a drama with parking and driving etc, just wanting to know where would be the best place/area to stay so we can park the car either at the hotel or parking lot and still be easily accessible to start the hike. Thankyou! about 9 years ago
