consider that in rome you'll not find a really good pizza (compared with the pizza you can try in naples) anyway the best pizza in rome are:

I don't know about that ... years ago it was pissing down when we arrived in Rome looking for the Youth Hostel. We sheltered under the awning of a pizza shop and had the best slice of pizza I've ever had in Italy: Zuchinni flower and anchovies. Awesome and memorable.

Pizzeria Da Baffetto. Via del governo vecchio 114. The service SUCKS but the pizza is great. Really famous around Rome, also try Tazza de Oro right in front of the pantheon. almost 7 years ago

Go to the Piazza De Campo Dei Fiori, when I lived in Italy it was always my favorite place to grab lunch in Roma, there are 3 pizza places right around the piazza all have good prices and good pizza. The Campo Dei Fiori also host a market everyday but monday i believe from around 9am until 1pm. You will find that each region of Italy has its own kind of pizza, Rome has its own. The pizza from Napoli is much different from other regions as they use rising dough and fresh buffalo mozzarella and more sea food. My favorite Pizza is from the Umbria region, go to Trattoria Di Locanda Del Lupo in Orvieto, which is accessible by the slow train going North out of Rome, it has its own stop and you take the Funicular up the mountain-side for 1 Euro each way. Follow the Corso Cavour until you see Locanda on your left. Then make sure to grab some gelato as you visit the Duomo, the best place is right on the side of the Duomo. almost 7 years ago

Try 'il grottino', via Marmorata, in Testaccio area. The 'pizza alta' in neapolitan Style is delicious and they also serve a big pizza for two or three people. almost 7 years ago
