Unlikely unless you're resident in certain areas where mafia wimps not man enough to go out and earn a living, bully honest, decent hardworking folk running a business into handing over protection money. To protect them from what, them! As a tourist you're highly unlikely to have any encounters but you'll hear plenty of stories about them especially in southern Italy . over 9 years ago
