I have a small budget and want to shack up somewhere amazing for as little euro as possible per night somewhere in Italy. I love relaxed lifestyle, beaches, music and food. I would love to find a nice place and stay there rather than traveling around. Can anyone help with ideas for how I can manage this, and where to go? I have never been to Europe so only have been told it is expensive, there must be options for the budget traveler??

    Hey Hana,
If you're on a budget and looking to get a local's persepctive I'd reccommend couchsurfing. It's free to stay with couchsurfing members and the length of time is for the two of you to decide. I've stayed with people all over Europe and have had great experiences. If I were you I'd do some research, pin point the area that you'd like to go to the most and then send some messages to people in that area...I was just in Tuscany and loved it!

    Ciao Dana,
    Tiny budget and Italy? Hard!
First i recommed to rent a car: public trasportation in the southern it'snt cheap and it's poor and not so estensive.
Second. I suggest to prefer may and june: fine weather and low price.
Best place: rome, neaples and costiera amalfitana, Salento (the lecces' region) then Sicily. almost 9 years ago
