Fantastic, especially if you use either of the high speed options (Flecha Rossa or Italo). The journey time is around 90 minutes and there are hourly departures from Rome Termini station. You can book in advance to save or at the station. over 4 years ago

    Very easy.
You can buy a ticket either from the Biglietteria (ticket office) or from the automatic machines (easy to use). A fast train costs about 45 euro and takes an hour and a half. Slower trains are cheaper.
Don't buy anywhere else (most "information booths" are really travel agents and add 5 euro to the cost).
Trains go very regularly so check the board at Roma Termini station for the next couple available. In busier seasons it would be sensible to book beforehand to ensure a seat. almost 4 years ago
