I will be in Italy 5 days before the cruise that starts on the 4th. Of October . planning to start from Florence 3 days from there 1 day trip to Venice then 2 days in Genoa from there 1 day trip to Italian Riviera. Is it wise to plan it this way or is it better to stay in Florence and just go to Genoa on the day I am joining cruise & stay 2 more days on my way back in Genoa

I am not saying it's impossible, but it is a lot of traveling in a short amount of time. If your up to it I would say do it! I just spent a semester in Italy and I would recommend seeing all of those places. I would personally do 2 day in Florence, 2 days in Venice, and the rest of the time in Genoa. I hope this helps! almost 4 years ago

I also spent a semester in Italy and I would definitely say make sure to see Portofino and the Cinqueterre they are both beautiful Italian towns. The Cinquterre has a lot to do with hiking, boating, or just lying on the beach. Portofino is worth the trip but you could probably be good with just a day there. almost 4 years ago
